The Villages Regional Hospital, a component of Central Florida Health, recently opened a new digital vascular surgery suite, according to a press release. It features the revolutionary GE Discovery Duo2 operating table that allows surgeons to perform complex heath and vascular procedures with ease of mobility and vital precision. “The addition of this suite represents the next generation of surgical innovation right here in The Villages,” says Don Henderson, president and CEO of Central Florida Health. “The hybrid operating room is set up for both minimally invasive and more complex cases, with the goal of efficiency and better outcomes post-surgery. The new robotic unit moves with the doctors to better detect any abnormalities that might come up during surgery.” The digital vascular surgery suite has a free-floating mobile operating room table with power-assisted motion. It also provides surgeons with precise 3D imagery. This improves accuracy, lessens surgery time, and quickens patient recovery.
