Health of Lake County presented Dec 4

Photo: Lake County Board of Commissioners will host State of the County on Tuesday, Dec. 4 in their offices at 9 am.

The health of Lake County will be presented on Tuesday, Dec. 4, hosted by the LC Board of County Commissioners in their offices at 9 am.

“A Spirit of Service” is this year’s theme according to a news release and will highlight the achievements of the board in areas of budget, efficiencies, public safety improvements, economic development and tourism initiatives.

Led by Commission Chairman Timothy Sullivan, the presentation will include the induction of the late Mabel Norris Reese into the Women’s Hall of Fame by Vice Chairman Leslie Campione.

A special recognition of Sheriff Peyton Grinnell of Lake County first responders will be made. Sheriff Grinnell and the team assisted in the security and recovery operation during Hurricane Michael.

Following a brief intermission, the regularly scheduled County Commission meeting will be held including Election of Officers.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
