Green Chef: Enjoying Premium Gourmet at Home

I recently received a box from Green Chef, and it was better than Christmas when I opened it. Included were premium, organic ingredients for three meals with everything already measured and prepped. All I had to do was follow the easy instructions, and I had a gourmet meal for two in no time.

My box included two gluten-free, vegan meals: Harissa-Spiced Chicken and Buddha’s Delight along with Beef Gyro Flatbreads, so I believe it was an omnivore box, which contains vegetarian and carnivore meals. Either way, the food was delicious and easy to prepare.

I could see Green Chef easily becoming a habit at my house. My husband and I both work full-time, the children are adults with families of their own, and we have odd schedules. I fix meals when I get home and put the leftovers in containers for his lunch the next day.

Just to give you an example, the Harissa-Spiced Chicken was served with carrot, orange, and pistachio slaw and grilled zucchini. The chicken breasts were already seasoned and ready to grill along with the zucchini sliced thickly so it would grill nicely. This is enhanced with a bright tahini sauce spiked with turmeric and served with the tangy slaw made with a white wine vinaigrette.

You can choose to receive two-person meals or get family meals. Pick what suits your diet with omnivore, carnivore, gluten free, vegan, paleo, or vegetarian. You have the assurance of knowing you’re getting premium, organic ingredients, and recipes prepared by a great chef.

Boxed meals are one of the hottest trends these days, and I can say with confidence that Green Chef is most likely one of the reasons why. Everything is carefully packaged and delivered nice and cold. Full instructions are included or you can go the website (www.greenchef.com) and see pictures of each step.

Prices are reasonable, the food is incredible, menus change weekly, and it’s just so easy.
